Last updated: April 2026
These terms govern your use of Drift, a journaling app operated by Norilab, Inc. ("we," "us"). By using Drift, you agree to these terms.
Eligibility
You must be at least 17 years old to use Drift.
Your Journal
Your private journal entries are stored locally on your device using SwiftData. We do not have access to them and cannot read or recover them.
Important: If you delete the app or lose your device, your journal entries are permanently lost. We have no way to recover them. We are not responsible for lost data. Back up your device regularly if you wish to preserve your journal.
Account and Identity
When you sign in with Apple, you are assigned a randomly generated nickname. This nickname, not your real name or email, is visible to other users when you post to Anchors. Your email address is not stored or used by Drift.
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your Apple ID. Any activity from your account is your responsibility.
Anchors (Shared Content)
When you post to Anchors, your content becomes visible to other users. By posting, you grant Norilab, Inc. a worldwide, royalty-free, perpetual license to display, reproduce, modify, and distribute your submitted content within the app, on our website, in social media, and in promotional materials.
Content Guidelines. You agree not to post content that:
- Is illegal, harmful, threatening, abusive, harassing, or hateful
- Violates the intellectual property or privacy rights of others
- Contains personal information (yours or others')
- Promotes self-harm, suicide, or dangerous activities
- Is spam, advertising, or off-topic
- Impersonates others or is otherwise deceptive
Moderation. We moderate Anchors to maintain a peaceful, thoughtful space. We may remove any content at our sole discretion without prior notice. Repeated violations may result in account suspension or termination.
Account Deletion
You may delete your account at any time through the app or by contacting us. When you delete your account:
- Your user profile and authentication data are deleted
- Your local journal entries remain on your device until you delete the app
- Your public Anchors posts may be retained on our servers for moderation purposes and to maintain the integrity of public discussions
To request complete deletion of all server data, contact us at hi@letitdrift.com.
Intellectual Property
Drift and its design, code, features, and visual systems are the property of Norilab, Inc. You may not copy, modify, reverse engineer, or redistribute any part of the app without permission.
You retain ownership of the content you create in your journal and post to Anchors, but you grant us the license described above for Anchors posts.
